During the summer we turn one of the larger workshop areas above the shop into a gallery. A perfect opportunity for upcoming artists and local groups to showcase their art to the public.

The North Nottinghamshire Embroiderer’s Guild

During July and August 2011 the Gallery at The Craft Shop played host to a selection of work by The North Notts. Embroiderers’ Guild. Showcasing a variety of skills and techniques including: mounted embroidery, 3D textiles, decorative dolls, exquisite jewellery and much much more on the theme of “FLOWER POWER” more than one person needed a handkerchief when reading Jackie Philpotts hand sewn book which she made as a legacy for her family

The gallery space provided a place for the Guild to display their work to a large audience and provide inspiration for shoppers of The Craft Shop.
